Motels in New Zealand are unlike motels in most other countries in that they have numerous features more likely to be associated with an apartment or condominium, i.e. they are self contained and self catering.
Some come with separate lounge, living areas, separate bedrooms and private facilities.
- Studio - Comprising a king size bed, kitchen facilities and seating in one room with private bathroom facilities.
- One bedroom - Comprising a king size bed in the lounge / kitchen area with a separate bedroom with one to two single beds and private facilities.
- Two bedroom - Comprising a king bed in one bedroom, two or three single beds in the other bedroom with separate lounge, kitchen and private facilities.
- Three bedroom - As above but an additional bedroom with two to three single beds
- Some 3 bedroom units capable of sleeping up to 8 people.
- Direct dial phones with dial up Internet access.
- Wireless Internet in All units.
- Major shopping mall 1km away and other shops 50 metres away.
- Bus service at gate to all key locations.
- Airport approx 25 minutes drive.
- New Brighton Pier and beach 5km
- All units are self catering and self contained and have either a full size electric range or a microwave and electric hot plates.
- Free off street car, bus, truck parking available.
- Three units with a private bath.
- All units have Sky TV and DVD Players.
